An important detail for the understanding of the stop-mechanism is the little piece of soft fabrics, some filt at the inside of the top of the outer tube: First it is avoiding scratching between the tubes during the sliding. Secound it stopps the sliding before the inner tube slides out of the outer tube! That means: The more often with power and speed the inner tube slides against this stop-mechanism the earlier the filt comes out of the tube and in the whorst case sticking somewhere in the slidemechanism! Thats really the whorst case because after that you not only have to open the whole slidedidge remove the old filt and fill in some new oil but also you have to clean the inside of the top of the outer tube from silicon because otherwise the new filt will not stick and stay in the tube to do it's job! Who takes care of the warning-groove and only pulls out the inner tube up to that mark won't get any problems at all. The mouthpiece is turned out of teak (best for wet uses) and is fixed to the aluminium-tube by hotglue. For more detais look here!
